Samsung Pixon M8910 – Pixon M8910 with 12-Megapixel Camera Touch-Screen Phone

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announced to launch high megapixel camera phone – Samsung Pixon M8910. The company had already launched world’s 1st 8 megapixel camera touch-screen phone – Pixon M8800.

In the competition of Sony Ericsson Satio which has 12.1MP camera feature, Samsung has also announced to launch 12-mega pixel camera mobile phone. Pixon M8910 will arrive in Europe in June. It has full-touch with 3.1-inch AMOLED screen.

Samsung Pixon12 enables users to take the best pictures quickly and easily. It has fast moving camera which allows users to next shot within around 2 seconds. It has innovative camera feature which provides the best photo quality. By touching fingers, users can simply select focus point.

Pixon M8910 has feature to upload images and videos to popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket, Friendster etc. Pixon12 has some memorable key features also – 3.1 AMOLED touchscreen display, 12 Megapixel autofocus camera equipped with Xenon, Power LED flash, 28mm wide angle lens, touch-focus, “Smart Auto”, Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, Dual-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity (900 / 2100 MHz), GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio with RDS. It will be available in Europe in June, 2009 and outside of Europe in August, 2009. Price of the phone was not announced.

Samsung Pixon M8910 will record video at 720×480 resolution at 30fps. It is included with HSPA and Wi-Fi. Images can be shot via a 28mm wide angle lens.

In the review of Pixon M8910 crave.cnet.co.uk writes, “It also includes a 28mm wide-angle lens and Xenon flash. As well as stills, the M8910 shoots 720×480-pixel video at 30 frames per second. Which all sounds great, but we’ll wait until we’ve had a hands-on and seen some test shots before we get really excited — after all, there’s still the matter of that tiny little phone-sized image sensor.”
